Journey in Arterial Cytoplast – a woven installation of tunnels and cocooned spaces within the gallery, overlooked by pseudo animal and plant forms.

Hello from Arty2!

Hello. These are really exciting times at arty2. Not only have we a new look website, but arty2 has opened its first shop. Yes OK, so it’s of the on-line variety, but hey – it still gives us the opportunity to sell some of our work and get feedback from the people who enjoy what we do. That’s a really nice feeling.

The next great thing that’s happening at arty2 is the evolution of an artistic community. We’re now able to offer local artists a platform on which to display, perform and advertise their work – for free. We hope, that with your help, this will turn into a really exciting place to be.

A few days ago I spoke with a writer called Bid who does ‘performance poetry’ (he also helps run Willow Organic in nearby Barnham, West Sussex, so if you have a couple of hours to ‘donate’ they’d love to hear from you). He showed me two of his poems which he had just posted on You Tube – wow! I can only hope that we are able to bring you some of his exciting work on the arty2 blog sometime soon.

Well, that’s about it from me, my first ever blog post – not too painful – in fact, I’ve rather enjoyed the experience. I hope that you too will enjoy the new site, enjoy hearing, reading and watching some of the artists we have in the area doing their thing – and also enjoy visiting some of the exhibitions, installations and performances that we hope to bring you news of in the coming months.
